Travel Marketplace TripShelf Raises Rs 1.6Cr From GEMS Advisory And Quarizon

Tripshelf, an online travel marketplace for holiday packages, has raised has raised Rs 1.6 crore in a pre-series A round from Gems Advisory and micro-VC fund Quarizon. In July this year, Tripshelf had raised $250K from Gems.

The startup will use the funds for onboarding more tour operators, enhancing technology and digital marketing.

Founded by Jai Raj Gupta, Dhruv Gupta and Sukhmani Singh in April 2016, Tripshelf allows users to discover, compare and buy the most suited holiday packages from independent tour operators on one platform.

“We have created a platform to aggregate the travel operators both offline and online and thereby provide a better planning experience for our users. We are extremely excited to have GEMS and Quarizon on our board, especially given their experience in the travel domain. We look forward to a strong mentorship from the Quarizon team and as an immediate next step, we would be launching a mobile app for our users.” said, CEO, Dhruv Raj Gupta.

Delhi-based Tripshelf allows customers to compare packages from tour travel operators on its platform and then directs them to supplier’s website for bookings.
