Zee has launched spicezee, a portal that will feature news and views pertaining to glamour, entertainment and lifestyle.
The site aims to go beyond being a ‘news as it happens’ portal and bring in-depth coverage of various events through insightful and exclusive stories, pictures and videos (not just agency feed, but videos sourced from the Zee Group as well) in the form of a section called Razzmatazz. [source]
The portal is all about gossip, which at any given point in time is far more appealing and engaging (to readers, advertisers) and is a complimentary channel for Zee to monetize it’s content.
Eros to foray into TV
Eros International will begin airing television channels in India by 2009-end and Eros will leverage its existing movie library of around 2,000 titles and launch movie and music channels.
Eros also plans to set up an animation studio and a live-action studio that will house all the facilities required to make world-class action thrillers in India [source]
