Twitter blocks 45,191 Indian accounts in July for violating guidelines

  • Microblogging platform Twitter on Friday said it banned 45,191 accounts of Indian users in the month of July over violation of its guidelines, as per its compliance report.
  • Of the suspended accounts between June 26 and July 25, as many as 42,825 accounts were banned for promoting child sexual exploitation, non-consensual nudity, and similar content.
