For the purpose of disproving misleading tweets, Community Notes uses a crowd-sourced approach. The program’s moderators have the ability to “contextually” add notes to tweets. The context can then be rated as “helpful” by regular users.
Only Americans could view the notes prior to today. Twitter says contributors from other locations will soon begin to be included.
