Uber Agrees To Cap Fares, Says No To Surge Price In Delhi

Uber has finally decided to do away with surge pricing after Delhi Government issued a directive against it.

Uber had discontinued the surge pricing during the odd-even scheme which ended on April 30th but soon after that, resumed it.

The company has now sent a letter to the Transport Commissioner and said that the company will follow the government-prescribed fare.

The prescribed fares are; Rs. 12.50 per km for Economy Radio Taxis, Rs. 14 per km and Rs. 16 per km for non-AC and AC Black and Yellow Top taxis, respectively.

The notified fare of Radio Taxi cabs is Rs. 23 per km. Additional night charges are applicable between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
