Uber, Ola challenge 5% service fee cap set by Karnataka’s govt for auto rides in Bengaluru

On writ petitions filed by app-based ride-hailing businesses challenging the 5% cap on service charges, the Karnataka High Court ordered notice to the state government.

On October 6, after Uber and Ola challenged a transport department decision requiring them to halt booking auto rides on their apps in Bengaluru as a result of overcharging clients, the matter was brought before the high court.
