Uber has begun testing a new feature called “Suggested Pickup Points” that helps users save time by getting to places that will make catching a ride easier.
Spotted by TechCrunch, the feature is being tested in San Francisco and appears when a users drags the pickup pin over a location where it might be hard to get an Uber.
At the same time, the feature shows places nearby where it would be quicker for the driver to pick them up signified by green dots. Users can then walk to these spots while their cab arrives.
While the company hasn’t mentioned anything about the feature just yet, it appears to be powered by past pickup data where drivers were able to pull over most easily.
