Google backed Uber has launched uberX in Bangalore and two other cities. uberX is a cheaper version of Uber, which will cost you a minimum fare of Rs 125 for a ride.

Vehicles on uberX are mid-range, commercially licensed sedans with seating for up to four people – think Toyota Etios and Maruti Swift DZire, the company said.

Apparently, uberX is cheaper than an auto if you opt to split your fare with your friends. Of course, we already know that. The app makes it easy for you to split fares with your friends. Uber launched in India in August 2013.
