Uber Launches UberASSIST For The Differently Abled Riders On World Disability Day

Currently, the service will be available only in Delhi and will eventually expand. In collaboration with iCareLife, Uber has been training its drivers on how to assist the riders with different needs like boarding the car, storage of wheelchairs etc. This service is already available in other countries.

To mark World Disability Day on 3rd December, Uber has launched uberASSIST which will provide assistance for the differently abled and senior citizens, through its UberX service. Currently, the service will be available only in Delhi and will eventually expand to other cities.

In collaboration with iCareLife, the company has been training its drivers on how to assist the riders with different needs like boarding the cars, storage of wheelchairs etc.

To opt the service, the user needs to type ASSISTDEL in the promotions tab on the app and select the option of uberASSIST service (uberASSIST is the same price as uberX).
