In a what can be called ‘iphone X’ moment, UIDAI has launched face authentication feature as part of tightening its security and authentication process.
“At the time of Aadhaar enrolment, the photo of the face of the resident is also captured. To provide inclusive authentication, face photo can also be leveraged to verify the identity of an Aadhaar number holder.”

How safe is this going to be? Has UIDAI done testing of this features? Is this all an attempt to sound ‘safe’ in front of the court, which will soon start the hearing on legalities of UIDAI?
Also UIDAI has launched Virtual ID feature.
