US Navy is hacking Locusts to sniff out bombs

Yeah, the real ones. The US Navy has awarded $750,000 to researchers at the Washington University to create cyborg-locusts capable of sniffing out bombs within its environment. These researchers have been working to alter locusts, who have an incredible sense of smell to distinguish a particular smell even while it is masked by other odours.
