The company’s service revenue also grew by 13.2% owing to a higher customer base, improved voice pricing and strong data growth, according to its Q4 2013 results.
At the end of 2013, the mobile network operator’s active data customer base stood at 45.7 million, which include 5.2 million 3G subscribers.
The operator also saw a data usage growth of 117%, mainly due to a 38% increase in mobile internet users and a 65% increase in usage per customer.
To better its 3G infrastructure the company has also launched over 2000 more new 3G sites.
Overall, its customer base increased by 4.9 million during the quarter to reach 160.4 million, up by 8.8% from last year. Out of the total user base 93.7% users are prepaid customers.
