Mumbai based Voicefriends has raised an undisclosed funding from Wockhardt’s Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala. The company was started by 58 year old Gurjit Dhingra in 2015.
“The goal is to make millions of men and women use Voicefriends to make instant connections. We make it safe, easy and fun for women to chat for free with interesting men in their area! You never know if your call could lead to an in-person meeting at a restaurant, going to a movie, a romantic date or maybe even a long-term relationship,” said Gurjit Dhingra.
Starting with a voice-to-voice chat means that you start with genuine interaction instead of scrolling through online profiles. Hearing someone’s voice greeting or personal message to you lets you know right away if you want to hear more. Voicefriends gives you a more tangible way to connect with other locals as our voices tell each other so much about our humor and personality, says the founder.
