Wal-Mart India, the Indian subsidiary Wal-Mart stores Inc. has launched its eCommerce store recently (for registered buyers in Lucknow and Hyderabad).
In a nothing less than a big deal, Walmart’s eCommerce platform is powered by Hyderabad based MartJack Enterprise, which offers an interactive online shopping site where registered members of Wal-Mart India’s cash & carry business can place orders at their convenience.
Founded in 2007 by Abhay Deshpande, Nitin Padmawar and Girish Kasliwal, MartJack has a headcount of more than 150 employees with 60 plus dedicated to technology innovation and product development. The company works with medium, large enterprises that have sizeable physical presence and are looking to increase the sales and consumer engagement by extending their brand presence across digital channels.
Some other clients of MartJack Enterprise include online marketplaces run by HDFC (Smartbuy), Aramex, and Reliance (Special privileges).
