4.7 and 5.3 magnitude earthquakes hit Nepal

At 01:23 (local time) on Dec. 28, a 4.7-magnitude earthquake was felt in the area of Adhikari Chaur in the Baglung District.

At 02:07 (local time), the second earthquake, measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, reportedly occurred near Khunga in the Baglung District.

There have not yet been any reported losses of people or property.

Nepal's National Earthquake Monitoring & Research Center tweeted about the earthquakes.

"An Earthquake of ml 5.3 occurred around Khunga of Baglung District at 02:07 on 2079/09/13 NEMRC/DMG," the tweet read.
