When the team defeated New Zealand in Dubai in 2021, Finch served as captain and led the team to its first T20 World Cup victory.
With 3120 runs at 34.28 and a strike rate of 142.53 in the format, Finch leaves as Australia's leading man run scorer.
He would accept any additional domestic T20 opportunities that were presented and that he will continue to play for the Renegades.
