BCCI to bring changes in broadcasting rights for bilateral cricket

With the IPL being a sure shot winner, BCCI could change the order with bilateral rights coming up first, going ahead.

The recently concluded ICC media rights value and the IPL rights package showed the market has lapped up all cricket on the plate.

This may give the BCCI hope that its bilateral broadcasting rights that come up for renewal in 2023 will also see a similar growth.

As per the future tours program (FTP), India would be playing 20 Tests, 21 ODIs and 31 T20Is at home in the next four years (2023-27).

A BCCI official confirmed this was more-or-less what the Board would offer as it looks to cut the rights cycle period by a year— from five to four.
