Bengali Actor Abhishek Chatterjee Breathed His Last Today at the Age of 57

Bengali films and daily soaps actor Abhishek Chatterjee passed away today, March 24, leaving Tollywood shocked.

Writing on Twitter, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee expressed his grief - “Sad to know of the untimely demise of our young actor Abhishek Chatterjee.”

Abhishek has been a part of many hit movies and Bengali television serials including ‘Khorkuto’, starring Trina Saha and Koushik Roy in the lead roles.

The veteran actor was shooting for the upcoming TV show 'Ismrat Jodi' yesterday (March 23) when his condition sharply deteriorated.
