Budget 2023: Centre made Rs 2.2 lakh crore cash transfer under PM-KISAN scheme

The Union Budget for 2023 is being presented to the Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the PM-KISAN initiative saw a cash transfer of Rs 2.2 lakh crore from the government.

She stated that achieving a knowledge-driven economy is the government's goal.

She added that a large increase in digital payments was evidence of the formalisation of the Indian economy.
