CWC: Afghanistan break numerous records with their win against England

Afghanistan beat defending champions England in a historic upset in match No.13 of the ICC World Cup.

This was Afghanistan's first-ever One Day International win against England and lifted them off the bottom of the group standings.

The win also marked the end of Afghanistan's 14-match losing streak in the ODI World Cup.

Mohammad Nabi (15 wickets) overtook Dawlat Zadran (14 wickets) as the highest-wicket taker for Afghanistan in the ODI World Cup.

England for the first time lost as many as 8 wickets to spinners in a World Cup match.

Spin bowler Rashid Khan set the fourth-best bowling figures for Afghanistan in the World Cup, a significant improvement from his performance in 2019.
