Emmy nominations: HBO's 'Succession', 'The Last of Us' take the lead

HBO and Max led the 2023 Emmy Awards nominations with 127, including a record-breaking 27 for 'Succession'.

This marks the 21st time HBO/Max has surpassed all networks and streaming services in a single year.

Netflix followed closely with 103 nominations from popular titles like 'Wednesday', 'The Crown', and 'Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story'.

Hulu also grew its nominations to 64, up from a previous high of 58 in 2022.

Free, ad-supported streaming services, The Roku Channel and Amazon Freevee, earned 12 and four nominations respectively.

The Emmy Awards are scheduled to air on September 18 on Fox but may face a delay due to the ongoing writer’s strike.
