Ferrari F1 team head Mattia Binotto resigns

Mattia Binotto, the head of Ferrari's Formula One team, has submitted his resignation and will leave at the end of the year.

“I am leaving a company that I love, which I have been part of for 28 years...

I leave a united and growing team. A strong team, ready, I’m sure, to achieve the highest goals," he said.

Ferrari announced that a replacement search had begun and would probably be completed in the New Year.

According to Italian media, Ferrari Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna might fill the position temporarily.
