French Cup: PSG hammered Chateauroux 3-1

In the Coupe de France round of 64 on Friday, Paris Saint-Germain needed two late goals to eke out a 3-1 victory at third-tier Châteauroux.

PSG has a record 14 cup victories, however last year they were eliminated in the round of 16.

Because there was no extra time in the early rounds, Châteauroux was gaining the upper hand and a penalty shootout was imminent.

But in the 78th minute, PSG midfielder Carlos Soler pounced from close range.

The match started well enough for PSG when Gharbi threaded a neat pass for striker Hugo Ekitiké to score in the 13th.
