Google layoffs:
Alphabet to sack 10,000 'poor performing' employees
The company will implement a ranking system to determine who gets fired based on performance.
The company also announced a hiring freeze earlier this month, citing macroeconomic trends.

With approximately 1,87,000 employees, Alphabet is one of the largest employers in the tech sector.
Alphabet have increased the headcount by 20 per cent every year in the last five years.
