Grammy faces controversy over AI-generated song 'Heart on My Sleeve'

An AI-generated collaboration between Drake and The Weeknd called "Heart on My Sleeve" has been submitted at Grammy Awards.

The song was created entirely by an anonymous human ghostwriter.

The Recording Academy CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., defended the submission, asserting that it's eligible.

"Heart on My Sleeve" has been entered in the Song of The Year and Best Rap Song categories.

But its eligibility faces a challenge due to the Grammys' requirement for broad distribution.

Universal Music Group, representing Drake and The Weeknd, issued takedown notices.
