Hardeep Singh Nijjar: Canada says India killed Khalistan terrorist

None Nijjar, originally from Bhar Singh Pura in Jalandhar, moved to Canada in 1997 and worked as a plumber.

Nijjar was involved in Khalistan militancy since his migration and masterminded the Khalistan Tiger Force, a banned terrorist group.

He was also a part of the outlawed separatist group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and was declared a terrorist by India in 2020.

Nijjar was involved in multiple criminal cases including a blast in Ludhiana in 2007 and the assassination of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat President.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for information about Nijjar.

NIA is probing his involvement in recent attacks on Indian diplomatic missions in Canada, UK and US.
