India Records 1,41,986 New Cases: Delhi Maharashtra Haryana Updates

India reported 1,41,986 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, a week after the country crossed the 10,000 mark

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 9.28 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 5.66 per cent, according to the ministry.

Delhi's daily Covid cases shot up by 15 per cent on Friday after 17,335 fresh cases were detected in 24 hours. Nine people have died in the national capital in the same period.

The Haryana government imposed fresh COVID-19 induced restrictions in six more districts - Karnal, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Rohtak and Jhajjar.

The state governemnt has already announced restrictions in five districts of Ambala, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Panchkula and Sonipat which is applicable from January 2 to 12.
