South Africa are at 35/1, trailing India by 167 runs at Stumps on Day 1 of the second Test match.

Mohammed Shami was the only wicket-taker for India in the first innings of South Africa batting as he removed Aiden Markram early in Johannesburg.

Earlier, the Indian team was bowled out for 202 in their first innings as they struggled against South Africa pacers.

Marco Jansen was the pick of the South Africa bowlers with his four wickets

Kagiso Rabada  got three wickets

Duanne Olivier got three wickets

Ravichandran Ashwin has also impressed with his 46-run knock.
