Movies that pay homage to soldiers' indomitable spirit

1. URI: The Surgical Strike

"How's the josh?" "High sir!". A landmark movie based on India's surgical strike on Pakistan in 2016. The film recently completed 3 years of its release.

2. Border

The movie portraits the historic Battle of Longewala located in Rajasthan. It depicts how 120 Indian soldiers fought against 2500 Pakistani soldiers in 1971 war

3. Lakshya

Farhan Akhtar's Lakshya is one of the most realistic Indian army films. Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Priety Zinta play the key roles in the film.

4. Shaurya

Shaurya was said to be inspired by the Hindi play Court Martial.  Kay Kay Menon and Rahul Bose gave outstanding performance in the movie.

5. The Ghazi Attack

The movie is based on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. This movie shows the great valour of Indian Navy officers

6. Rustom

The 2016 Bollywood film Rustom, is a fictionalized account of the KM Nanavati case. Akshay Kumar potrays the character of naval officer Rustom Pavri.

7. Airlift

The movie shows how the Indian Airforce rescues people in a tense situation. Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur are in the main lead.

8. Shershaah

A heroic saga of the 25-year-old brave Indian soldier Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra. The film depicts the courage and valor of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War
