Indian tax officials raid BBC's offices in New Delhi and Mumbai

The income tax authority searched BBC offices in Delhi and Mumbai on Tuesday.

BBC stated that it is completely cooperating with law enforcement and wishes for a speedy resolution of the issue.

The raid came after a critical documentary about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was made public.

To conduct a "survey," more than a dozen income tax department officials showed up at the BBC offices in Delhi.

The I-T officers have closed the offices, taken documents belonging to many journalists, and seized several accounts and financial files.
