IPL 2022 :  Bravo overtakes Malinga to become the highest wicket-taker in IPL history

Dwayne Bravo, who is part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2022, has become the highest wicket-taker in the history of the Indian Premier League .

The CSK all-rounder achieved this remarkable milestone in the 7th match of the IPL 2022 against KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai

In the match, he bowled 4 overs and gave away 35 runs at an economy of 8.75 and bagged a crucial wicket of Deepak Hooda in the crucial stage of the match.

Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo had made his debut in the marquee IPL tournament in 2008 and since then he has been performing well consistently for his teams

So far, he has played for Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Lions and Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich league, with most of his games coming in the yellow jersey

Sri Lanka pacer had picked 170 IPL wickets in just 122 games at an average of 19.79, an economy of 7.14, and a strike rate of 16.6, including 6 four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul.

Dwayne Bravo in 153 IPL games has bowled 493.3 overs and has picked up 171 wickets at an average of 24.07, an economy of 8.34, and a strike rate of 17.3, including 2 four-wicket hauls.

Bravo won his first purple cap in 2013 for picking up 32 wickets in 18 games and won his second purple cap in 2015 for picking up 26 wickets in 16 games.
