IPL 2022 :
becomes second bowler in IPL history to bowl two maidens in a match
Harshal Patel became the
second bowler after Mohammad Siraj
to bowl two maidens in one IPL match. He achieved the feat against the Kolkata Knight Riders
had also come against KKR, in IPL 2020. This IPL match was held at the DY Patil Stadium on Wednesday.
Harshal was introduced in the 12th over,
struck with his fourth ball
when Sam Billings holed out to Virat Kohli.
Shortly after, he had the dangerous looking
caught behind for an 18-ball 25.
Harshal finished with figures of 4-2-11-2.
The seamer bowled brilliantly for his
figures of 2/11 and
also hit an unbeaten 10 off six deliveries to help RCB complete a tricky chase at the Dr DY Patil Stadium
Having had a breakthrough season last year when he
equalled Dwayne Bravo's record of most wickets in an IPL season
, Harshal joined another elite list with his performance on Wednesday
won the Purple Cap last year
for finishing as the leading wicket-taker and is in the race once again, with four wickets in two matches so far
