IPL 2022: MI Beat CSK by 5 Wickets; CSK Deliver Worst Performance

The 59th match of IPL 2022 saw Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians locking horns at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and sent Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in to bat first.

CSK's batting performance was disappointing. Not a single player reached a half-century. Captain MS Dhoni (not out) made 36 off 33 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.

This was the first time that CSK's score didn't even reach 100, marking their worst performance of the season.

CSK lost all wickets in 16 overs. They set a target of 98 runs for their opponent Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians wrapped the games in 14.5 overs, registering a 5 wickets victory over CSK.

Tilak Varma (not out) made 34 off 32 balls. Rohit Sharma and Hrithik Shokeen scored 18 off 14 balls and 18 off 23 balls, respectively.
