The Rajasthan Royals were dealt a major blow when Nathan Coulter-Nile, an Australian pacer, was ruled out of the IPL 2022 due to injury.

Nathan Coulter-Nile was part of the Royals' playing XI in their first match, which they won by 61 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Coulter-Nile had walked off the field after suffering a side strain during the game. When the pacer arrived to bowl the final over, the incident occurred.

Rajasthan Royals’ official Twitter handle revealed the news of the Australia pacer getting ruled out as they bid him farewell.

Interestingly, Rajasthan Royals had signed Coulter-Nile for his base price of INR 2 crore in the mega auction.
