ISRO's Aditya-L1 solar mission to be launched on September 2

ISRO is preparing to launch its first space-based solar observatory, Aditya-L1, on September 2.

The spacecraft will take off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 11:50 Hrs. IST.

Aditya-L1 marks India's inaugural dedicated mission to study the Sun, offering unique insights into solar activities and space weather.

The spacecraft will be placed in a halo orbit around Lagrange point 1 (L1) of the Sun-Earth system.

The mission aims to understand solar wind formation, observe coronal mass ejections (CMEs), and analyze solar flares to unravel their origins.
