The group announced their move on social media, declaring to have taken down a number of Russian government websites.

The Russian government's websites, the Kremlin, the Duma, and the Ministry of Defense were all hit by the Anonymous.

Several users on social media reported that the websites targeted by the gang slowed down and went offline for long periods of time.

In a series of tweets, the group made it clear that it would support and help Ukraine by all means.
