He's also the fourth youngest Indian to score a century in his first Test and the 17th Indian cricketer to register a debut Test century.

Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma's partnership of 229 is the highest for any Indian opening pair in Test matches against the West Indies.

Jaiswal's maiden ton came off 215 balls. He stroked 12 boundaries in his innings.

The previous best opening partnership against the West Indies was by Virender Sehwag and Sanjay Bangar in Mumbai in 2002 where they put on 201 runs for the first wicket.
