After many hurdles, Shahid Kapoor's film
Jersey
finally hit the theatres on April 22.
Unfortunately, it got affected by Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 craze, which is currently doing wonders at the box office.
However, after an average opening day,
Jersey
picked up pace and did well on its first weekend at the box office.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the sports drama also stars Mrunal Thakur.

Shahid Kapoor-starrer Jersey witnessed a slow start at the box office. It minted Rs 4 crore.
On the third day however, the film managed to mint Rs 5 crore, according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala’s early estimates.
It’s clear that director Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 2 impacted Shahid’s film's numbers.
Jersey is the Hindi remake of Nani's Telugu film of the same title.
