Malayalam film actor Kundara Johny has died from a heart attack at a private hospital in Kollam at the age of 71.
Johny was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife Stella, who is a college professor in Kollam.
Kerala Finance Minister K N Balagopal condoled his death, highlighting Johny's work in over 500 films during his four-decade-long career.
Johny was known for playing impactful negative characters in Malayalam films, making his debut at 23 in the 1979 film, Nithya Vasantham.
'Meppadiyan', released in 2022, was his last movie. He also appeared in Tamil films like Vaazhkai Chakram and Nadigan.
