Manipur women paraded naked on camera before gang rape

Two women were gang-raped and paraded naked in Manipur, India, by a group of men; the incident, caught on video, has triggered widespread condemnation.

The incident allegedly occurred on May 4 in Kangpokpi district, according to the Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum, but police reports suggest a different location.

Manipur's Chief Minister N Biren Singh has prioritised the case; both he and the Indian Women and Child Development Minister, Smriti Irani, have assured swift action.
