Milan Kundera, author of 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being', dies

Renowned author Milan Kundera, known for his novel 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being,' has passed away at 94.

Kundera, who emigrated to France in 1975, was appreciated for his skill in balancing ordinary life and profound ideas in his writings.

In addition to his novel-writing, Kundera also translated works by French poet Guillaume Apollinaire, wrote poetry and short stories.
