Mumbai implemented latest home quarantine rule amid Omicron threat

Mumbai municipal agency has issued a set of new measures. For international immigrants from at-risk countries, a seven-day home quarantine is required.

Mumbai's "ward war room"(WWR) team is all set to dial people in home quarantine at least five times a day to monitor their health

A software will segregate passengers according to their addresses into 24 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

The WWRs will inform passengers to remain under seven-day home quarantine and  provide information on COVID-19 protocols and answer their concerns.

Medical staff will be dispatched with ambulances on a frequent basis to ensure that passengers are following the guidelines.

Mumbai's "ward war room" team will make sure travellers perform the RT-PCR test on Day 7 of their home quarantine.

Everyday at 9 am, the chief executive of Mumbai Airport will send a list of international passengers arriving in the preceding 24 hours from high-risk and at-risk nations. 

Many states have started demanding the rollout of booster doses of Covid vaccines for adults and vaccination for children

On the question of booster dose Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said in Parliament that Experts will soon take call on booster dose.
