On Friday, changes to the Co-WIN platform were planned to enable people to start scheduling shots right away.

The dose, produced by Bharat Biotech under the trade name iNCOVACC, will only be made available to all qualified adults as boosters.

One official said, “we will not be providing the vaccine for free at the government vaccination centres for now.”

Bharat Biotech has not yet disclosed pricing for the dose, which will be administered twice, 28 days apart, even when used as a booster.
