OTT platforms will have self-regulation bodies headed by a retired judge or an eminent person
SM platforms will be required to disclose the first originator of mischievous tweet/ message
All SM platforms will have two categories of intermediaries
All intermediaries shall have a physical contact address in India
Intermediaries will ensure online safety and dignity of users, especially women users
OTT platforms to self-classify their content into five categories: U, U/A 7+, U/A 13+, U/A 16+, & A
All SM platforms will have a provision for voluntary verification mechanism of users
Detailed version of guidelines will be published later and take effect three months after that
