Niagra Falls turns into winter wonderland as it partially freezes

Because of the recent below-zero weather in the United States, Niagara Falls has partially frozen.

A weather enthusiast discovered that it is now "technically" feasible to walk from Buffalo, New York, across the Niagara River.

A thick, crisp layer of snow has blanketed the recognisable waterfall.

It can't be completely frozen, though, because the water cascading over it is moving steadily and quickly.

The well-known tourist location is 40 kilometers away from Buffalo, the city most struck by the storm.
