North Korea: A ban on laughing, drinking and shopping for 11 days

The ban is a part of the 11-day mourning on the 10th anniversary of former leader and Kim Jong Un’s father, Kim Jong-il

As per sources ,if anyone’s family member dies during the mourning period, they are not permitted to cry aloud

And the dead body must only be removed from the house when the grieving period of 10 days has ended.

People are also not allowed to celebrate their own birthdays if they fall within the mourning period

In the past, people who were caught drinking or being intoxicated during the mourning period were taken away and never seen again
