Premier League: Liverpool beat Everton 2-0

Cody Gakpo, a forward for Liverpool, scored his first goal for the team as they defeated Everton 2-0 to snap a losing streak.

In the 36th minute, Mohamed Salah connected with Darwin Nunez on the counterattack to score the game's first goal.

Gakpo scored his first goal in his seventh game to extend the lead early in the second half of a fast-paced Merseyside derby.

Liverpool entered the game having dropped three of their previous four league games while scoring just one goal and giving up nine goals.

With 18 points from 22 games, Everton was one point outside the safety zone and in the relegation zone.
