PSG might not field Kylian Mbappé in future games

Kylian Mbappé, the star footballer of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has been excluded from the team's pre-season tour to Japan.

Mbappé has one year left on his contract and plans to leave as a free agent in 2024. He refused to sign a new contract.

PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi indicated players unwilling to stay could leave, increasing tension between Mbappé and the club management.

Should Mbappé leave after his contract ends without a renewal, PSG would be unable to recoup any of the €180M fee they spent signing him in 2017.
