Ross Taylor claimed the last Bangladesh wicket in his final act in Test cricket to seal New Zealand’s series-levelling victory

Test Statistics


Taylor finished his Test career as New Zealand's highest run-getter in the format, with 7683 runs at 44.66 with 19 centuries

ODI Statistics


8581 runs in ODIs, ahead of former skipper Stephen Fleming (8007). His 21 ODI centuries also are a New Zealand record.

The Debut


Taylor, made his Test debut back in 2008 against South Africa and played the first of 233 ODIs against the West Indies in 2006

Most experienced


He has also played 102 T20 internationals, becoming the first cricketer to play more than 100 matches for New Zealand in all three formats

ODI retirement


He will be part of the ODI series in Australia in February and will play his final match against the Netherlands in his home town of Hamilton

"FYI" Taylor has bowled only 16 overs in his entire Test career. The last time he bowled in a Test match was eight years ago
