Akshay Kumar's recently released film, Samrat Prithviraj, is struggling to make its mark in the box office collections
The period drama is seeing a slow run at the theatres and it has failed to impress the audience.
Samrat Prithviraj registered a sharp drop at the box office on Day 6, June 8. After a low-key opening with just Rs 10.70 crore
The film has managed to earn just Rs 52 crore till now, according to early estimates.
There are also reports that the shows of the film are being cut down as most of the morning shows saw occupancy in single digits.
Samrat Prithviraj, written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, is based on the life and times of Rajput emperor Prithviraj Chauhan.
Samrat Prithviraj had an overall 9.78 per cent Hindi occupancy on Wednesday, June 8.
